Box Score LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College tennis team concluded the regular season with a 9-0 loss at Cairn University in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match on Saturday afternoon at the McCurdy Tennis Facility.

The Highlanders started the match with a 3-0 sweep of doubles, each winning by 8-0 finals. The first doubles team of junior Paige Kemper (Lancaster, Pa.) and sophomore Brianna Miller (Delta, Pa.) topped the Falcons' pair of senior Maya Narasimhan (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) and sophomore Katherine Franzone (). Cedar Crest's second doubles team of sophomores Lily Spagnola (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) and Sam Henson (Waterbury, Conn./W.F. Keynor Technical) were defeated by the Highlander tandem of freshman Ersy Neal (Wayne, Pa.) and senior Sarah Jackson (Milltown, N.J.). Cairn completed the sweep as sophomore Rachel Campbell-Robertson (Richmond, Va.) and freshman Daphne Neal (Wayne, Pa.) beat the Cedar Crest freshman pair of Brittany Schultz (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty ) and Corinne O'Connor (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore ) at third doubles.

Cairn then went on to take all six singles points. Narasimhan was defeated by Kemper 6-0, 6-1 at the top spot while Spagnola, Henson, Schultz, and O'Connor each fell by 6-0, 6-0 finals in their respective singles matches.

The best singles match of the day came at the No. 2 spot between Franzone and Miller. Miller took the opening set by a score of 6-3. It took a tiebreak in the second for Miller to secure the win as she won 7-6 (3) in the breaker.

Cedar Crest (7-5 overall, 5-1 CSAC) have qualified for the CSAC Championship Tournament as the No. 2 seed, which is set to begin with the two semifinal matches on Friday, April 29. The Falcons will host third-seeded Bryn Athyn College on Friday in its semifinal matchup.
