ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College tennis team had six student-athletes collect Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) All-Conference honors while also seeing Interim Head Coach
Dr. Allen G. Snook Jr. being named Co-Coach of the Year.
The Falcons had three doubles pairs honored. The duo of senior
Maya Narasimhan (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) and sophomore
Katherine Franzone () were selected to First Team. The Falcons' Second Team selection was sophomore
Lily Spagnola (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) and junior
Sasha Singh (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland). Sophomore
Sam Henson (Waterbury, Conn./W.F. Keynor Technical) and freshman
Brittany Schultz (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty ) picked up an Honorable Mention nod.
Cedar Crest saw five student-athletes earn All-Conference selections for singles. Franzone and Henson landed on First Team, Narasimhan and Spagnola were tabbed Second Team, while Singh was an Honorable Mention selection.
Henson was also the Falcons' selection to the All-Sportsmanship Team, marking the second straight year she earned that recognition.
Snook brought home Co-Coach of the Year after he led Cedar Crest to a 7-5 overall record with a 5-1 mark in the CSAC, earning the No. 2 seed for the CSAC Tournament. Snook shares the Co-Coach of the Year award with Cairn's Kevin Jackson.
Cedar Crest will host No. 3 seed Bryn Athyn College in the CSAC Tournament semifinals on Friday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m.
