Box Score  ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College tennis team doubled up Bryn Athyn College in a 6-3 final on Thursday afternoon at home in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest.
 
The Falcons began the match with a 3-0 sweep of doubles play. The junior pair of Lily Spagnola (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) and Katherine Franzone (Mount Bethel, Pa./Pennsylvania Cyber Charter) defeated sophomores Thea Keal (Bryn Athyn, Pa.) and Annae Connelly (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) at No. 1 doubles, 8-1. Senior Taylor Wolf (Townsend, Del./Middletown) and first-year Katie Browning (Orefield, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) teamed up for an 8-0 triumph at second doubles over sophomore Ava Fino (Harding, Pa.) and junior Amber Dawes (Philadelphia, Pa.). Cedar Crest completed the sweep when sophomore Corinne O'Connor (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) and junior Megan Fiedler (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge Senior) edged junior Katherine Hyatt (Bryn Athyn, Pa.) and first-year Keren Abraham (Philadelphia, Pa.) at No. 3 doubles, 8-7.
 
The teams went onto split the singles matches, 3-3. Sophomore Nicol Kaczorek (Philadelphia, Pa.) defeated Spagnola at the No. 1 spot, 7-6 and 6-2. Franzone took down Keal in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-4 at second singles to grab a point for the Falcons. Connelly beat Wolf at No. 3 by scores of 6-2 and 6-1 to capture the second point for the Lions. Browning was victorious at fourth singles, winning by scores of 6-1, 6-2 while Schultz snagged the final point for Cedar Crest with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph over sophomore Jenna Hartshaw (Downingtown, Pa.) at the No. 5 spot.
 
Bryn Athyn collected its final point for the match when Hyatt topped Fiedler at sixth singles, 6-2 and 6-4.
 
Cedar Crest (2-6 overall, 2-2 CSAC) will travel to Notre Dame of Maryland University for its conference finale on Saturday, April 15 beginning at noon. Bryn Athyn (1-6 overall, 0-1 CSAC) hosts Cairn University in its next match on Friday, April 14 at 4:00 p.m.
