ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College track & field team took a trip to compete in the Blue Jay Invitational hosted by Elizabethtown College on Friday April 26 and Saturday April 27.
 
First-year Gabby McDonald (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) competed in the 100- meter dash and placed seventh with a time of 13.20 seconds.
 
Senior Rebekka Sanchez-Castro (Columbia, Md./Atholton) placed 23^rd in the 200-meter dash with a time of 32.63 seconds.
 
In the 800-meter dash, junior Laura Blanco (Allentown, Pa./Louis E. Dieruff) placed 23^rd with a time of 3:33.23.
 
Junior Jonquil Loeffelholz (Bellingham, Wash./Sehome) placed sixth as the lone Falcon to compete in the 5000 meters with a time of 22:02.10.
 
In the shot put, first-year Lexa Bozen placed 19^th with a throw of 8.09 meters. Sophomore Sadie Trubilla (Coaldale, Pa./Panther Valley) followed in 25^th with a distance of 7.34 meters. Junior Abril Riley (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) followed in 29^th with a throw of 6.58 meters. Junior Heaven Bethea (Boynton Beach, Fla./South Tech Academy) took 30^th with a distance of 6.31 meters. First-year Nikola Beasley-Crombie () took 32^nd with a throw of 6.25 meters.
 
Bozen placed sixth in the discus with a distance of 33.10 meters. Branson followed in 22^nd with a distance of 25.48 meters. Gibbons placed 35^th with a throw of 20.02 meters.
 
Gibbons placed eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 33.46 meters. Bozen followed in 19^th with a throw of 24.83 meters. Bethea took 20^th with a distance of 24.14 meters. Beasley-Crombie placed 21^st with a throw of 22.49 meters.
 
Sophomore Olivia Horninger (Friedens, Pa./Northern Lehigh) took 16^th in the high jump placing with a jump of 1.32 meters.
 
Senior Olivia Kelly (Medford, N.J./Shawnee), sophomore Olivia Wanner (Lyons, Pa./Kutztown Area), Riley, and Loeffelholz placed third in the 4x400 meter relay race with a time of 5:19.20.
 
Cedar Crest will next compete at the United East Conference Championships hosted by Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pa. on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5.
