Megan Fiedler (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge Senior) topped sophomore Maddie Ferguson (Secane, Pa.) and senior Jessica Gore (Chaguanas, Trinidad & Tobago) at No. 2 doubles, 8-5. There was no third doubles match.
Franzone opened singles play and was defeated by Zahran at first singles (6-0,6-0). Fiedler rallied for a 6-4,7-6 win over Keeper at No. 2. O'Connor defeated Ferguson by a score of 6-2, 6-3 at third singles. Nieman took down Gore, 6-1 and 6-0 at the No. 4 slot. First-year
Camber Beverage (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) picked up the last win of the afternoon by default at fifth singles. There was no sixth singles match.
Cedar Crest (1-7 overall) will return to the courts away against Hood College on Sunday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m. Penn State Brandywine (0-8 overall) will travel to Glenside, Pa. to take on Arcadia University on Saturday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m.
