PRINCETON, N.J. – The Cedar Crest College wrestling team opened its 2025-26 at the Princeton Open on Sunday at Jadwin Gymnasium. Junior Sarah Seltzer (Shohola, Pa./Delaware Valley) led the team with a sixth-place finish at 207.

After a bye in the Round of 16, first-year Mary Lopes (Barnet, Vt./St. Johnsbury Academy) was defeated by Ursinus' Mandy Gavarez by tech fall. In the consolation round, Lopes was topped by Samantha Larkin of Arcadia University via tech fall.

In the Round of 16, sophomore Mel Val (Tracy City, Tenn./St. Andrew's Sewanee) was taken down by Elinor Underwood of Felician University by decision, 9-0. In the consolation round, Val was defeated by Aubree Butler of Ursinus College by points, 7-4.

First-year Andi Bibeau (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) opened her day with a tech fall victory over Aman Cheema of Rutgers University and was then lost by tech fall to Clare Booe of West Point Prep in the quarterfinals. In the consolation round, Bibeau was defeated by Journie Rodriguez of Lock Haven University.

First-year Madacyn Snyder () began her day with a victory by tech fall, topping Jocelyn Antes. In the next round, Snyder lost to Jayleah Pletz of Lock Haven University by tech fall. In the consolation round, Rivera was topped by Ingrid Penn of Marymount University via a 5-1 decision.

Senior Draydon Charman (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) started with a win by fall over Jayanti Leslie-Iyer of Harvard University. In the Round of 16, Charman was taken down by Presley McCandlish of Lock Haven University via decision, 10-0. In the consolation round, Charman lost a 5-0 decision to Charlotte Bowman of Ursinus.

First-year Lily Decker (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) opened her day with a loss by tech fall to Lindsay Laws of Lock Haven University. In the consolation round, Decker was defeated via tech fall by Arcadia University's Lauren Parry.

Seltzer started with a fall victory, topping Kaia Condon of McDaniel College. She advanced to the semifinals with a triumph over New England College's Marisol Almanzar. In the semifinals, Seltzer was topped by Katianna Martinez of Marymount University by fall. In the fifth-place match, she lost to Felician University's Talisha Lewis by tech fall.

Cedar Crest will return to the mat in a tri-match at Ursinus College against the host Bears along with Marymount University on Sunday, November 9.
