PRINCETON, N.J. – First-year Julissa Ortiz (Philadelphia, Pa./Mariana Bracetti Academy) took second place at in the 124 weight class to lead the Cedar Crest College wrestling team in its season opener at the Princeton University Open on Sunday at Jadwin Gymnasium.

"It was a solid first tournament," said Head Wrestling Coach Alex Depew. "We certainly have a lot to clean up. We need to wrestle better in position. The day was highlighted by Julie finishing second in what is one of the toughest opening tournaments in the country. I'm most impressed by how quickly she is adjusting to the speed of a collegiate match. Wrestling five matches in a day is no small feat, especially when all are caliber opponents. Her work ethic is second to none and she will continue to turn heads in the regional and national ranks."
