COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College wrestling team split a pair of matches on Sunday, defeating Marymount University, 30-19, and falling to Ursinus College, 31-15, in a tri-match on Sunday at Helfferich Hall.
"I'm very proud of how we performed today," said Head Wresting Coach
Alex Depew. "We wrestled a bit flat against Marymount, but came out with a win. I'm more proud of the effort in the loss. Ursinus is class. Tremendous coaching and a Top-20 program in the country. Our women went out and battled."

Arianna Gonzalez (Fallsburg, N.Y./Fallsburg Junior Senior) being defeated by tech fall at 124, junior
Maddie Stultz (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) losing by fall at 160, and Ortiz losing to junior Gianna Perez (Soledad, Calif.) by tech fall at 180.
"Andi (Bibeau) knocking off a returning national qualifier was huge," said Depew. "That type of Andi is going to be very hard to beat. Alaina (Stanford) bumping up two weight classes and pulling out a win is the style of wrestling we teach. Madycyn (Snyder) wrestled a returning regional champion. Not only did she keep it to a decision, but she scored the final takedown. There is a ton to look forward to. Another hard week of practice and onto the Millersville Open."
Cedar Crest (1-1 overall) will return to the mat on Sunday, November 16 at the Millersville Open.
