Corinne O'Connor (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) of the Cedar Crest College tennis team was named as an Academic All-District® selection by College Sports Communicators (CSC), as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
O'Connor played in all 11 matches for the Falcons and won four doubles matches this season. Academically, she is a genetics and counseling psychology major with minors in global diseases and public health and has a 3.77 GPA.
To be selected Academic All-District®, a student-athlete had to have been at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition such as ITA's and non-team scored events do not count).
