ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team remains in fifth place after day two at the Atlantic East Conference Championships on Friday at St. Mary's College of Maryland. The Falcons have collected 110 points.
First-year
Maria Aragon (Albuquerque, N.M./Rio Grande) swam a prelim time of 6:37.04 in the 500-yard freestyle and registered a time of 6:34.49 in the finals. Senior
Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton) clocked a prelim time of 7:08.11 and recorded a time of 7:14.74.
In the 200-yard IM, first-year Nyasia Fernadez turned in a prelim time of 2:59.91 and a finals time of 2:58.58.
Junior
Rylie Heusner (Scranton, Pa./Holy Cross) led Cedar Crest in the 50-yard freestyle, touching in 26.60 seconds in the prelims and 26.11 seconds in the finals to take fifth. Sophomore
Madison Nadasi (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) recorded a time of 29.34 in the prelims and 28.99 in the finals.
In the final event of the night, Nadasi, Fernandez, Aragon, and Heusner registered a time of 1:55.78 in the 200-yard freestyle relay, placing fifth.
Cedar Crest will be back in action on Saturday, February 14 for day three of the Championships with prelims at 10:00 a.m. and the finals at 5:30 p.m.
