Hall of Fame
Nellie Manges is a valued member of the Cedar Crest College family. Hired by Cedar Crest College in 1955, Manges served as the Dean of Women and as a history professor until named the Dean of Students. During her time with the Cedar Crest, she was an avid fan of our athletic teams, attending countless athletic events and supporting all student-athletes in their athletic and academic endeavors. Jacqueline J. Sham was the Director of Athletics and worked closely with Manges at this time. Manges valued the importance of athletics at Cedar Crest College and was truly invested in its success. Manges retired in 1989 after thirty-four years of service, and was granted the title of Dean of Students Emerita. Manges received her B.A. from Gettysburg College and then went on to receive her M.A. from Columbia University. Cedar Crest College Athletics thanks Manges for her continued support of our athletic endeavors and of our studentathletes and is proud to induct her into the 2014 Hall of Fame.
