Doran, Otoo win, Tennis Falls at Neumann

Aston,PA- The Cedar Crest Tennis team was unable to secure another conference win today as they travelled to Aston, PA to take on the Neumann University Knights.

In double action; number 3 doubles duo, Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) and Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) would be the only victorious doubles team as they came on top 8-5. Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) and Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) would fall at number 1 doubles, 8-2 .Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) and Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) would also fall in their doubles game as they fell 8-4.

In singles action; Wojciechowski would fall at number 1 singles 6-1, 6-3, Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) would fall with an identical score of 6-1, 6-3 at number 2. Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) would have a tough battle at number 3 singles, falling in three sets 3-6, 6-1,10-4. Sisson would also fall at number 4 singles 6-2, 6-4. Number 5 singles would finish in favor of Neumann as Cauble fell 8-3. Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) would be the only singles and doubles winner for the day as she came on top at number 6 singles 7-6 (7-4); 6-0.

With the loss, the Falcons fall to a record of 5-7. They will return to the courts on Saturday October 11th as they take on Notre Dame of Maryland at 12pm.
