Birchwood, PA- The Cedar Crest Falcons redeemed themselves from their last loss, as they defeated Baptist Bible College 6-3.
In doubles action;
Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) and
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) fought a tough battle to come out on top at the number 1 spot 9-8 (7-4).
Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) and
Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) fell at number 2 doubles 8-3. At number 3 doubles,
Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) and
Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) would team up to dominate their match 8-1.
In singles action; Wojciechowski would fall at number 1, 6-3,6-4.
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) would also fall at number 2 singles 6-1,6-1.
Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) would continue to dominate the number 3 spot as she only let up two games to win 6-1,6-1.
Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) also continued her winning ways as she finished her opponent 6-2,6-4.
Sarah Babbie (Champlain, NY/Northeastern Clinton Central) would step up at the number 5 spot to overcome her opponent 3-6,7-5;10-4.
Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) also dominated her matchup as she won 6-1, 6-1.
With the win, the Falcons move up to a record of 4-6 overall and 2-2 in CSAC play. They return to the courts tomorrow for Fall Family Weekend as they take on Keystone College at 11am.Â
