Results

Allentown, PA- The Falcons defeated conference rival Keystone University in today's "Think Pink" match, winning 7-2. 

In doubles action, Jamie Wosciechowski and Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) unfortunately fell to the Giants 8-5 in a well-played game.  In the second game, Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) and Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) defeated the Giants 8-4.  Doubles team Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) and Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) played a shoutout match, defeating their opponents 8-0 in the third game.

In singles action, the Falcons won 5 out of 6 matches against the Giants.  In the first match, Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) won in straight sets against Giants opponent, only letting up one game with a score of 6-1 and 6-0.  In the second game, Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) fell to the Giants in a hard fough three setter with a score of 6-7 (3-7) 7-5, 13-11.  At number 3 singles, Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) continued her winning streak as she defeated the competition with set scores of 6-0 and 6-1.  Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) came on top at number 4 singles without giving her opponent a single game as she won 6-0,6-0.  In the fifth game, Sarah Babbie (Champlain, NY/Northeastern Clinton Central) won 6-0 and 6-1.  Finally, Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) won the sixth match, also prevailing with a 6-0 and 6-0 score.

This puts the Falcons at a winning record in conference games at 3-2 and an overall record of 5-6.  In their next match-up, the Falcons will face Neumann University on Friday, October 10^th in Aston, PA.
