ResultsHeading into their second meet of the Cedar Crest College Swimming team would welcome Gallaudet University to the Rodale Aquatic Center for a NEAC Conference Swim meet.
The Falcons woudl start off the day with an early win, winning the 200 Medley Relay with a team of
Kali Jones (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area HS),
Nithya Lakshminarayanan (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North ),
Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) and
Cassidy Jones (New Milford, CT/New Milford High School) would win with a time of 2:22.62. Â C. Jones would then finish third in the 1000 and the 200 freestyle before the Falcons would claim their second first place finish of the day. Â
Briana Hall (Bridgeville, DE/Sussex Technical) would claim victory in the 50 freestyle winning with a time of 25.48. Â K. Jones would finish second while Cauble would claim third. Â
Taylor Marshall (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck ) would be the lone swimmer for the Falcons in the 200 IM taking second after a hard fought race and finishing with a time of 2:52.26 less than .50 behind the winner. Â Hall and Marshal would team up in the 100 Butterfly, Hall winning with a record time of 1:03.94 and Marshall claiming second with a 1:24.84. Â Hall would find herself in the seventh event the 100 freestyle and would claim her third individual win of the night while
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) would claim third and
Andi Dargis (East Hampton, NY/East Hampton) would take fifth. Â
The Falcons would then take to the 100 backstroke which would feature Cauble, K.Jones and Marshall who would go 1-2-3 sweeping the 100 backstroke and sealing the victory for the Falcons. Â Lakshminarayanan would then take first with a record time in the 500 freestyle winning with a 6:07.92 while Bryk would take third. Â Lakshminarayanan would then take on the 100 breaststroke all alone and win with a time of 1:17.21. Â The Falcons would take the meet and the first win in program history winning 102-92.
They will host Well's College and the College of St. Elizabeth next Saturday the 15th with the meet scheduled to begin at 4 PM.
