ResultsThe Cedar Crest College Swim team opened up 2015 in a very exciting way on Saturday at the Rodale Aquatic Center, welcoming Wilkes University and The College of New Rochelle.
The Falcons would open up the double-dual swim meet the team of
Taylor Marshall (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck ),
Nithya Lakshminarayanan (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North ),
Briana Hall (Bridgeville, DE/Sussex Technical) and
Ciara Lane (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) would take first overall in the 200 yard medley relay with a near record time of 2:05.29. Â
Individually for the Falcons,
Briana Hall (Bridgeville, DE/Sussex Technical) swam to three more wins including the 200 yard medley relay, the 50 free style and the 100 butterfly. Â
Ciara Lane (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area), swimming in her first meet of the season would also notch two win as being part of the winning medley relay and winning the 100 freestyle with a time of 59.72. Â
Nithya Lakshminarayanan (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North ) would add an individual win, winning the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:07.85.
The Falcons would also honor senior Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) during the meet, Cauble the lone senior on the team recently returned from a study trip down in the Virgin Islands where she was studying exotic marine wildlife. Closing out the meet the team of
Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord),
Kali Jones (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area HS),
Liana Riutort (East Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg High School) and
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) would finish 2nd overall in the 400 freestyle relay. Â The Falcons would down New Rochelle 132-42 and squeak by Wilkes University 98-97.
