ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College Falcons swim team fell 147-55 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference matchup against Cazenovia College on Saturday afternoon in the teams first meet of the new year.

The relay team of  junior Ciara Lane (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area), sophomore Nithya Lakshminarayan, sophomore Taylor Marshall (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck ) and junior Maggie Olock (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty High School) finished second with a time of 2:03.99 in the 200 yard medley relay. Marshall finished third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:06.66. Olock finished the 50 yard freestyle just shy of her record (24.56) with a time of 24.61. 

Junior Olivia Lopez (Brandywine, MD /Gwynn Park ) took third in the 100 yard freestyle as Lane and Lakshminarayan finished back to back in the 100 yard IM with times of 1:11.43 and 1:11.67, respectively. Lane also took third in the the 100 yard back stroke and Lakshminarayan took second in the 500 yard freestyle. Olock would also take first in the 100 yard breaststroke.

The Black and Gold are set to swim again on Saturday, January 23 as they travel to take on the College of New Rochelle at 4:00 p.m. for a dual meet with the Blue Angels and Wilkes University.
