ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Swimming team claimed their first win of the season with a 120-81 over the Vixens from Sweet Briar College Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons claimed the 200-yard Medley Relay with the team of
Olivia Lopez (Brandywine, MD /Gwynn Park ), Mackenzie Inacker, Becca Roberts and Ella Archer, finishing in 2:25.21 to take first.
Lopez and
Rachel Barrett (Langhorne, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) earned first and second place in the 50-yard backstroke with
Lopez ended at 33.71 and
Barrett 36.74. Also taking first and second place finishes were Dominique Player touching the wall at 1:40.29 in the 100-yard Breaststroke and then
Roberts finishing five seconds behind
Player, touching the wall in 1:45.98.
Barrett claimed first place in the 100-yard Backstroke event, completed her run in 1:22.65.
Inacker placed first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 37.76 and
Player following behind in second in 46.00. In the 50-yard Butterfly event, Barrett who win another heat, touching in 40.45 seconds. Inacker was also in the top-spot for the Black and Yellow in the 100-yard freestyle, finished in 1:04.08.
Lopez was first to complete the 100 yard IM in 1:17.40 in the last individual event of the day. The team of Roberts, Inacker, Ella Archer and Lopez finished the 200 yard Freestyle Medley in second at 2:06.22, just two seconds behind the first place squad of Sweet Briar.
The Falcons swim team will return to action on Saturday, October 27 when they travel to SUNY Cobleskill for a Triple-Dual Meet where Cedar Crest will compete against the host, SUNY Cobleskill, Norwich University and SUNY-Delhi. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
