Box Score Rosemont, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Tennis team defeated Rosemont College 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon to put the Falcons at 7-5 on the year and now 6-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC).
In doubles action, the Falcons took all three points, with senior
Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) and junior
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) taking 1st doubles (8-1) junior
Beth Kistler (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua Area) and sophomore
Alyssa Epsaro (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) earning their point in the match at 2nd doubles (8-0). Senior
Myeisha Harris (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) and sophomore
Adaliz Gonzalez (Dover, Pa./North Eastern) grabbed the third point at 3rd doubles with a win by default to put the Black and Yellow up 3-0 after the doubles flight.
Kistler dropped her point at 1st singles (2-6, 1-6) to open singles play, with Freshman
Katherine Naples winning her match at 3rd doubles (6-0, 6-2).
Epsaro claimed her point in the 2nd spot, (6-0, 6-4). 4th singles saw sophomore
Andrea Abdale (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast ) defeat her Raven opponent, (6-1, 6-2) and SAGE student
Tennille Colbert (Brooklyn, N.Y./Manhattan Comp) came out victorious at 5
th singles with a clean sweep, (6-0, 6-0). Freshman
Ashley Wilkins (Rochester, N.H./Spaulding) won 6th doubles by default to give the Falcons their final point of their 8-1 victory.
The Falcons will return to action on Friday, April 13 at 3:30 PM as they play their final home match, on Senior Day versus Marywood University. The match is set to begin at 3:30 PM.
