IMMACULATA, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Tennis team fell to Immaculata University 9-0, Saturday afternoon to put the Falcons overall record at 7-7 overall and 6-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) to end the regular season.
In doubles action, the Falcons were swept, senior
Myeisha Harris (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) and freshman
Katherine Naples (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire North) were unable to grab their point at 3rd doubles, (8-1) while senior
Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) and junior
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) lost at 1st doubles (8-1). Â Junior
Beth Kistler (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua Area) and sophomore
Andrea Abdale (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast ) fell at 2nd doubles (8-2). The Falcons would go into singles play trailing the Might Macs, 3-0.
Doran,
Litonjua, and
Naples all were swept in straight sets, (0-6, 0-6) at 1st, 2nd, and 4th singles. At 3rd singles,
Kistler fell (2-6, 1-6) to her opponent and
Abdale lost at the 5th spot (1-6, 0-6). Freshman
Ashley Wilkins (Rochester, N.H./Spaulding) put up a fight, but would have the same result, was defeated (3-6, 4-6) at 6th singles.
The Falcons end their regular season with a 7-7 record and 6-4 conference record.
