Falcons Fall in Double-Dual Meet

TEAM RESULTS | INDIVIDUAL EVENT RESULTS

ALLENTOWN, Pa. –
The Cedar Crest swimming and diving team hosted Marywood University and Marymount University on Saturday at the Rodale Aquatic Center. The Falcons lost to the Pacers, 151-82, and to the Saints by a score 162-74.

The first event of the double-dual meet was the 200-yard medley relay. Abbey Mower (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional), Megan Fiedler (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge Senior), Rachael Alulis (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall), and Maggie Alder (Hackettstown, N.J./Warren Hills Regional ) finished in 2:18.90. Fielder and Mower were Falcons' participants in the 1000-yard freestyle. Fiedler held a time of 12:00.53 while Mower finished in 12:51.85. In the 200-yard freestyle, Alder and Joslyn Schwieterman (Portland, Maine/Baxter Academy) recorded times of 2:35.53 and 3:09.84, respectively.

 Zaria Berry (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) and Corrine McClain (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) swam in the 100-yard backstroke finishing with times of 1:17.46 and 1:28.94 respectively. In the 100-yard breaststroke Taylor Davis (Wilmington, Del. /Newark) and Ava Leibold (Mertztown, Pa./Brandywine Heights ) finished in 1:25.49 and 1:29.52. Alulis finished in third place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:48.69.

Davis, McClain, and Schwieterman each raced in the 50-yard freestyle. Berry placed sixth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:07.46. Mower took part in the 200-yard backstroke and finished in a time of 2:36.12. Alulis and Leibold placed fifth and seventh, respectively, in the 200-yard breaststroke while Fiedler placed first in the 500-yard freestyle with her time of 5:48.96. Davis was the first Falcon to finish in the 100-yard butterfly with her time of 1:20.16. Alulis was the lone Cedar Crest swimmer in the 200-yard IM, while the Falcons finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay to close out the afternoon.

The Falcons remain home to host another double-dual meet next weekend on Saturday, November 13 when they welcome in St. Mary's College of Maryland and Gallaudet University. The meet will start at 1:00 p.m.
