RESULTS

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cedar Crest College swim team went head-to-head against Cabrini University and Widener University on the road Saturday. The Falcons fell 178-70 against the Cavaliers and 205-51 to the Pride.

To kick off the meet, Cedar Crest placed fourth in the 200-yard medley relay with a final time of 2:15.53 from Abbey Mower (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional), Taylor Davis (Wilmington, Del. /Newark), Rachael Alulis (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall), and Zaria Berry (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia). Later on in the meet, Megan Fiedler (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge Senior) grabbed third place in the 1000-yard freestyle at 12:52.19, followed by Ashley Large (Parker, Colo./Regis Jesuit) in sixth at 15:14.39.

Berry was first to tap in for the Falcons in the 200-yard freestyle with a final time of 2:30.57 for seventh place. Joslyn Schwiertman followed with a time of 2:58.91.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Corrine McClain (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) placed sixth in a final time of 1:34.93 while Davis and Mower finished sixth and seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke. Alulis and Ramona Dalja (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) took fourth and fifth in the 200-yard butterfly with times of 2:48.44 and 3:31.47, respectively.

Davis finished seventh in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.94 while Berry placed ninth (29.88).

Fiedler led Cedar Crest with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.75). Schwieterman followed in ninth in the same event.

Large and McClain took seventh and eighth in the 200-yard backstroke while Alulis and Mower were fifth and sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke.

Fiedler captured third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:58.61), followed by Schwieterman (8:15.74).

McClain touched first for the Falcons in the 100-yard butterfly with a seventh-place finish (1:28.70), while Dalja rounded it out with a time of 1:32.73.

Alulis and Davis touched fifth and seventh, respectively, in the 200-yard IM while the team of Berry, Mower, Large and Fiedler placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay to close out the meet.

Cedar Crest returns home to host Immaculata University and Juniata College on Saturday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rodale Aquatic Center.
