VILLANOVA, Pa. – First-year Ellise Everett (Orlando, Fla.) and junior Rebekka Sanchez-Castro (Columbia, Md.) of the Cedar Crest College volleyball team were recognized as Honorable Mention selections by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) in the release of its weekly awards on Monday afternoon.
Everett registered 18 kills and six kills over two wins for the Falcons. She tallied a season-high 14 kills and added six blocks (four solo, six assisted) while hitting .429 in a 3-1 win at Notre Dame and then added four kills in a sweep of Valley Forge.
Sanchez-Castro recorded 32 over the two wins. She had 20 digs against the Gators and added 13 against the Patriots.
Cedar Crest (11-8 overall, 8-1 CSAC) picked up the No. 1 seed for the CSAC Championship Tournament and will host a semifinal matchup against the lowest-remaining seed from the quarterfinal winners on Thursday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m.
