SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College track & field team participated in the opening day of the Jim Taylor Invitational hosted by Susquehanna University on Friday afternoon. The Friday action featured the field events of shot put and hammer throw.
Shouppe paced the Falcons in the shot put, placing 16
th with a mark of 10.17 meters. First-year
Bella Bozen (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) threw for a mark 7.92 meters, while sophomore
Heaven Bethea (Boynton Beach, Fla./South Tech Academy) recorded a mark of 4.75 meters.
Shouppe led Cedar Crest in the hammer throw, registering a mark of 31.73 meters. Bethea also competed in the event and had a throw of 16.05 meters.
The Falcons will conclude the remainder of the Jim Taylor Invitational on Saturday, March 25 starting at 9:00 a.m.
