ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team sits in third place after two days at the Atlantic East Conference Championships hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland.
In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of junior
Taylor Davis (Wilmington, Del./Newark), first-year
Rylie Heusner (Scranton, Pa./Holy Cross), first-year
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury), and senior
Megan Fiedler (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge Senior) took fourth with a time of 2:03.87.
The Falcons then set the program record in the 800-yard freestyle relay when the team of Fiedler, graduate student
Rachael Alulis (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall), Heusner, and Gil finished fourth with a time of 8:54.30, breaking the previous mark of 9:08.95.
In the finals session of day two, Fiedler swam a time 5:53.65 in the B Final of the 500-yard freestyle.

he A Final of the 200-yard IM featured three Cedar Crest student-athletes. Gil led the way with a third-place finish in a time of 2:22.22, setting a new program record in the event. Heusner touched sixth with a time of 2:34.70. Davis took eighth in the A Final, clocking a time of 2:45.53.
Heusner was back in the water for the A Final of the 50-yard freestyle. The first-year was the only Falcon in either final of the event and touched seventh with a time of 27.11 seconds.
The last event of the evening was 200-yard freestyle relay and the team of Davis, first-year
Erin Walsh (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower), first-year
Jessica Keogh (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge), and Alulis finished fifth (2:07.49).
Cedar Crest will resume the Championships on Saturday, February 17 with the prelims starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by the finals session at 6:00 p.m.
