ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team remains in third place following the third day of the Atlantic East Conference Championships, taking place at St. Mary's College of Maryland. The Falcons have collected 262 total points.
The finals session began with first-year
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) grabbing a third-place medal in the 400-yard IM, registering a time of 5:12.38. Graduate student
Rachael Alulis (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) finished seventh as she touched in 5:37.46.
Cedar Crest had one participant in the 100-yard butterfly final as senior
Charlie McClain (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) finished 12
th in a time of 1:30.92.
The Falcons snagged another medal, this time in the 100-yard breaststroke as first-year
Rylie Heusner (Scranton, Pa./Holy Cross) touched third with a time of 1:11:46. Junior
Taylor Davis (Wilmington, Del./Newark) clocked a time of 1:22.76 which was 11
th.
Cedar Crest had four in the pool for the 100-yard backstroke final. In the A Final, senior
Megan Fiedler (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge Senior) took fifth (1:10:39). In the B Final, McClain, first-year
Jessica Keogh (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge), and first-year
Erin Walsh (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) finished 10
th through 12
th respectively.
The day concluded with the 400-yard medley relay and the Falcons took fifth as the team of Fiedler, Heusner, Gil, and Alulis clocked a time of 4:32.39.
Cedar Crest will wrap up the Championships on Sunday, February 18 with the prelims beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by the finals session at 4:00 p.m.
