ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Cedar Crest College swimming team took third place at the Atlantic East Conference Championships, marking the program's best finish at the event since joining the conference in the 2020-21 season and a three-place improvement from last season.
Marymount University captured the women's title with 717 points. St. Mary's College of Maryland finished second, collecting 701 points. The Falcons were third with 369 points.
In the prelims, graduate student Rachel Alulis qualified for the finals in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing seventh in a time of 2:41.28.
Cedar Crest had a pair in the pool for the prelims of the 200-yard breaststroke. First-year
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) took fourth with her time of 2:44.11. Junior
Taylor Davis (Wilmington, Del./Newark) followed in ninth, clocking a time of 3:06.30.

Charlie McClain (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) competed in the 200-yard butterfly. Alulis was sixth (2:54.22) and McClain was seventh (3.27.50). Both student-athletes qualified for the finals of the event.
The final event of the prelims was the 1650-yard freestyle. Senior
Megan Fiedler (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge Senior) finished eighth with a time of 20:35.34. First-year
Erin Walsh (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) touched 13
th, registering a time of 26:20.49. Classmate
Jessica Keogh (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) finished one spot behind and recorded a time of 28:29.18.
The finals session started with the 200-yard backstroke. Alulis took eighth, clocking a time of 2:38.15.
In the 200-yard breaststroke final, Gil collected a fourth-place finish, touching in 2:45.55. Davis participated in the B Final of the event and registered a time of 3:04.41.
Alulis and McClain were back in the water for the finals of the 200-yard butterfly. Both student-athletes cut off nearly 10 seconds from their prelim times with Alulis finishing in 2:44.10 and McClain in 3:18.54.
In the 1650-yard freestyle finals, Fiedler led the way for Cedar Crest, finishing eight with her time of 20:35.34. Walsh was 13
th with a time of 26:20.49. Keogh was 14
th (28:29.18).
The meet finished with the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of Fiedler, Alulis, first-year
Rylie Heusner (Scranton, Pa./Holy Cross), and Gil recorded a fourth-place finish in a time of 4:00.98.
The meet concludes the season for Cedar Crest.
