ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Sophomore
Camila Gil (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) became an Atlantic East Conference champion in program record-breaking time in the 200-yard breaststroke on the final day of the Atlantic East Conference Championships from the Aquatics Center at the MPOBARC at St. Mary's College of Maryland. The Falcons finished fifth as a team with 238 points.
Junior
Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton) qualified for the "B" Final in the 200-yard backstroke with a preliminary time of 3:31.88. She placed 10
th overall in the finals, touching in 3:34.21.
First-years
Madison Nadasi (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) and
Ariana Abazi (Lincoln Park, N.J./Roxbury) advanced to the Finals of the 100-yard freestyle. Nadasi swam a prelim time of 1:08.74 and then went onto place seventh in the "A" final, registering a time of 1:08.52. Abazi finished ninth overall with a finals time of 1:19.82.
Gil captured her third medal of the Championships, winning the 200-yard breaststroke title. The sophomore recorded a preliminary time of 2:38.60, which put her first, and then in the "A" final, she broke her own program record with a time of 2:36.42 for a first-place finish.
Reinhart was back in the pool for the 1650-yard freestyle, placing eighth with a finals time of 25:56.97. Abazi also participated in the event and took ninth (26:17.95).
The Falcons then concluded the meet when Gil, Reinhart, Abazi, and Nadasi finished fifth in the 400-yard freestyle relay, clocking a time of 4:44.96.
The meet concludes the season for the Falcons.
