LATHAM, N.Y. – A total of six Cedar Crest College lacrosse players were honored by the United East Conference on Wednesday in the league's release of its annual end-of-season awards.
Seniors
Rachel Bilger (Philadelphia, Pa./Upper Dublin) and
Maddie Graham (Clayton, Del./Smyrna) collected First Team All-Conference honors while sophomore
Kadee Schrader (Northampton, Pa./Northampton Area), junior
Kylah Demarest (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township), senior
Ashley Large (Parker, Colo./Regis Jesuit), and junior
Ellie Terranova (Wilmington, Del./Mount Pleasant) earned Second Team All-Conference accolades.
The six honorees were the second-most of any team in the conference.
Bilger is a First Team defense honoree after collecting 37 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, three goals, and one draw control. She ranked third in the conference in ground balls. It marked the third career All-Conference award for Bilger.
Graham turned in another strong season, tallying 60 points on 43 points and 17 assists. She also recorded 29 draw controls, 25 ground balls, and 12 caused turnovers. Graham ranked third in the conference in goals (43), fourth in assists (17), and third in points per game (4.62). This was the fourth career All-Conference honor for Graham.
Schrader, an attacker, earned all-conference status for the first time in her career. She ranked third on the team with 33 points on 15 goals and a team-high 18 assists to go along with 16 ground balls, six caused turnovers, and two draw controls. Schrader's 18 helpers was third-most in the conference.
Demarest is a repeat selection to the Second Team after recording a career-high 47 points on 32 goals and 15 assists. The junior also ranked first on the team in draw controls with 47, fifth on the team in ground balls (24), and third on the team in caused turnovers. Her 32 goals were tied for the seventh-most in the conference, 15 assists were tied for fifth in the league, and 37 draw controls were 10
th in the conference.
Large makes her debut on the All-Conference list for lacrosse, landing on the Second Team. The senior played in all 13 games, making 12 starts, while earning two goals, 24 ground balls, 14 caused turnovers, and two draw controls. Her 14 caused turnovers ranked second on the team and ranked tied for sixth most in the conference.
Terranova rounds out the Falcons' All-Conference honorees on the Second Team. The junior had a breakout season as she ranked fourth on the team with 23 points on 16 points and seven assists. She also added a team-high 45 ground balls and 42 draw controls to go along with seven caused turnovers. Terranova led the United East in draw controls (42) and was seventh in the conference in draw controls per game (3.23).
Cedar Crest finished its season with a 5-8 overall record (1-3 United East).
