WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – The Cedar Crest College wrestling team concluded its 2025-26 season at the second and final day at the NCAA Region II Regionals on the campus of West Liberty University on Saturday.

"Really special season overall," said Head Wrestling Coach Alex Depew. "We fell a little short of our goals, but having four wrestlers finish in the top eight, and three in the top six is a regional showing we are proud of."

First-year Andi Bibeau (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) placed sixth at 117. Bibeau got by Bethany's Taylor Rae Busch by decision 5-4 and then fell to Journie Rodriguez of Lock Haven University by tech fall. In the fifth-place match, Bibeau lost to Pitt-Johnstown's Tamara Humphries by decision, 9-1 to take sixth.

First-year Madacyn Snyder (Wind Gap, Pa./Pen Argyl) finished her showing at the regionals with a loss by fall to Paisley Fox of Ursinus College.

At 180, junior Janeyda Ortiz (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) started her day with a victory via decision over Allison Brandt of York College of Pennsylvania, 6-5. Ortiz then lost by tech fall to Ursinus' Jurelys Peguero Del Rosario and closed out her day with a setback by tech fall to Janiya Brogan of West Liberty University in the fifth-place match to finish sixth.

Junior Sarah Seltzer (Shohola, Pa./Delaware Valley) began her day with an impressive win by tech fall (11-1) over East Stroudsburg University's Patricia Deslandes at 207. Seltzer advanced to the next round where she lost to Kamila Castro of Gannon University and then in the fifth-place match, Seltzer suffered a setback by fall to place sixth.

"Andi avenged a loss in her blood round," said Depew. "Janeyda beat a returning national qualifier in hers. Sarah just showed toughness against her opponent from ESU. We have a lot of things to look forward to in the offseason and beyond. This was a milestone season for our program."
